Pension Scheme Buyouts – 4th Quarter 2008 Survey Results
On the heels of the global financial crisis and against the backdrop of one of the most active years for bulk annuity buyouts, MetLife Assurance sought to determine trustees’ and employers’ interest in and likely approaches to pension risk transfer. MetLife Assurance surveyed 162 respondents in total, which includes 96 respondents at the NAPF Annual Conference & Exhibition 2008 held on 8th - 10th October 2008 and an additional 66 respondents at the Professional Pensions Show 2008 on 19th - 20th November.
